CCM Insurance Group (CCM) specialises in providing insurance solutions for the construction industry.  As a VMIA DBI (Domestic Building Insurance) Distributor, we can work directly with you to organise your letter of eligibility to obtain your builder’s license.  Once you are registered, we are a one stop shop to organise all of your other insurance policies including contract works, public liability, professional indemnity, tools/machinery, motor insurance etc. etc

 

WHAT IS A LETTER OF ELIGIBILITY (LOE)?

The LOE is required by the VBA before issuing your DB-U/L (Domestic Builder – Unlimited/Limited).  We recommend getting started as soon as possible as this takes some time both from you to organise the documents and from the VMIA to assess your application.  The LOE is proof that the VMIA has assessed you and have granted you with a DBI facility.

 

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

Once you are set up with your trading entity, we will work with you throughout the process below to ensure the process is as simple and as smooth as possible.

  1. Call or request a call from us via the contact details below. You can send us an email to our dedicated mailbox buildersedge@ccminsurance.com.au to set up a time to chat about your requirements
  2. After our chat, we will send you an email outlining the information we will need
    • Please make sure the fully completed form and all the documents are sent in one email
  3. We will review the documents and advise if there is anything missing (if we have all documents your application will be submitted to VMIA and you will get a confirmation of this)
  4. VMIA will assess your application and once completed, you will receive confirmation from us with the terms
  5. Once you have complied to the terms and sent us back the signed terms and any additional information required, you will receive your LOE
  6. Provide us with your DB-U number (and CDB-U for a company) and you’re ready to go!
